Introduction

  • Quiz Pathshala (“Quiz Pathshala”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an educational web platform operated by Chand Kumar Koli. This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, pixels, and similar technologies when you visit or use Quiz Pathshala.

  • This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
  • Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They may help a website remember a session, maintain security, save preferences, understand how the website is used, or measure advertising performance.

  • We may also use similar technologies, including:

    • Local storage: browser storage used to remember information on your device, such as your cookie-consent choice.

    • Session identifiers: values used to keep you signed in, maintain an active session, and protect website functions.

    • Pixels and tags: small pieces of code that may record page visits or other events after the relevant consent has been provided.

  • For simplicity, this Policy may refer to all of these technologies collectively as “cookies”, unless a distinction is necessary.

2. Cookie Categories We Use
  • Necessary Cookies: Required for page navigation, website security, session management, authentication, fraud prevention, protected information, and saving your cookie-consent choice.

  • Analytics Cookies: With your permission, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand page visits, traffic sources, device or browser information, general usage patterns, and website performance.

  • Marketing Cookies: With your permission, Meta Pixel helps us measure visits and advertising performance and understand whether advertisements lead to visits or actions.

  • Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not loaded by our consent system unless you enable the relevant optional category. Our current Google Analytics configuration disables Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals.

3. Cookies and Storage Currently Used
  • The exact cookies visible in your browser may vary depending on whether you are logged in, which features you use, your consent choices, your browser settings, and third-party service changes.

4. How Consent Works on Quiz Pathshala
  • When no valid consent choice is stored, optional Analytics and Marketing storage is denied by default. Quiz Pathshala does not request Google Analytics or Meta Pixel scripts through this consent system until you grant the relevant permission.

  • Accept All: Enables Necessary, Analytics, and configured Marketing technologies.

  • Reject All: Keeps only Necessary technologies active.

  • Manage Preferences: Lets you enable or disable Analytics and Marketing separately.

  • Your selection is stored in your browser for 180 days. We may ask for consent again when that period expires, when you clear browser storage, when you use another browser or device, or when a material change requires a new consent version.

5. Changing or Withdrawing Your Consent
  • You may review or change your optional cookie choices at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the website footer.

  • If you withdraw Analytics or Marketing consent:

    • Future loading and use of the relevant tracking technology will be stopped through our consent system.

    • Accessible Quiz Pathshala-domain cookies associated with Google Analytics or Meta Pixel may be removed from your browser.

    • Information lawfully collected before withdrawal may remain for the applicable retention period, subject to applicable law and the provider’s policies.

  • Withdrawal does not affect Necessary technologies or the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

6. Information That May Be Processed
  • Depending on the technology and your consent choice, this may include:

  • IP address and approximate location inferred from it;

  • browser type, device type, operating system, and language;

  • pages visited, referral source, date, time, and session activity;

  • cookie, browser, or advertising identifiers;

  • page views and consented interaction or conversion events; and

  • technical performance, error, security, and fraud-prevention information.

  • We do not intentionally send complete payment-card details, CVV, UPI PIN, account passwords, or sensitive quiz answers to Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

7. Interaction-Based Third-Party Cookies
  • Some services may use their own cookies or similar technologies when you choose to interact with them:

  • Razorpay may use security, fraud-prevention, payment, and session technologies when you open or complete a payment flow.

  • Google Sign-In may use Google-controlled technologies when you choose to sign in or register using Google.

  • External links may take you to services with their own cookie and privacy practices.

  • Relevant provider policies include:

8. Browser Controls
  • Most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies and clear local storage. Browser controls vary, so refer to your browser’s help or privacy settings.

  • Blocking all cookies or storage may affect login, authentication, security, payment flows, saved preferences, quiz functionality, and other parts of Quiz Pathshala. Browser privacy protections, extensions, and ad blockers may also prevent optional technologies from loading even after consent is granted.

9. Data Sharing and International Processing
  • Where you consent to Analytics or Marketing technologies, limited technical and usage information may be shared with Google or Meta for the purposes described in this Policy. These providers may process information on infrastructure located outside your state or country, subject to their policies and applicable safeguards.

  • We may also share necessary technical information with hosting, infrastructure, security, authentication, payment, and support providers where reasonably required to operate and protect the platform, process a requested transaction, or comply with law.

  • We do not sell personal data merely because you use Quiz Pathshala.

10. Retention
  • Cookie and local-storage retention periods are described in the table above. Actual duration may be shorter if you clear browser data, use private browsing, withdraw consent, use browser privacy controls, or if the technology is removed or reconfigured.

  • Analytics, advertising, security, payment, consent, and audit records maintained outside the browser may be retained for a different period where reasonably necessary for reporting, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Children’s Privacy and Supervised Use
  • Quiz Pathshala accounts are intended only for users who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. A parent or lawful guardian may allow a child to view or practise educational content through the adult’s account under supervision, as described in our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. The child may not independently create or control an account.

12. Changes to This Cookie Policy
  • We may update this Cookie Policy when our website, cookie categories, service providers, consent system, or legal obligations change. The revised Policy will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date. Where required, we may ask you to provide consent again.
