How do I add questions to my quiz?
Add manually or import from Excel, My Bank or Global Bank.
Create the quiz first, then open Quizzes → View All Quizzes and use its question or Import actions.
Choose manual entry for small sets/richer formats, Excel for bulk text questions, or banks for reuse. Each method adds content to a selected quiz; saving its title alone does not create questions.
Before you start: Sign in, switch to Teacher, and open the Teacher Dashboard with an active educator plan or trial.
Add manually
- Use the quiz’s question-management action and open Add Question.
- Enter the question/type and at least two options.
- Select the correct answer; for Multiple Choice, select all correct options. Add an explanation if useful.
- Set the question active when ready and save.
For image/code options, use Enable Advanced Option Types in the manual form.
Import
- Excel: Import → Import Questions by Excel Sheet. Use the required format.
- My Bank: Import → Import Questions from My Bank; select and confirm.
- Global Bank: Import → Import Questions from Global Bank; select and confirm.
Review answers and active status before quiz activation. My Bank needs your own questions first; Global Bank imports go directly into quizzes.
Useful information
Understanding the manual form
Title is the question text. Extra details can contain a passage/instruction. Choose Single Choice, Multiple Choice or True/False, then fill at least two options. Use Add a New Option for more. Review all correct selections and any explanation before saving.
Advanced options and status
Text is the default. Enable Advanced Option Types for image-only, text-and-image or code snippets. Use manual entry for these; Excel is intended for plain text. A question’s active status is separate from the quiz’s status.
Which bank?
My Bank starts empty until you add your private questions. Global Bank offers system-provided questions for direct quiz import. Bank storage does not automatically add questions to a quiz: select and confirm its target import, then review the resulting question list.
