How do I create and schedule a Live Quiz?
Prepare a one-attempt scheduled test with a fixed answer release and leaderboard.
Enable Live Quiz, set future start and later end times, then set Specific Date answer reveal after the end. Add active questions and activate the quiz.
Live is for a scheduled test/event with saved submissions and learner rankings. It is not an unrestricted repeat Practice mode.
Prepare the Live test
- Use an active Teacher Dashboard, create/select a category and open Add Quiz or Edit.
- Enter the required title/slug/category and enable Live Quiz. This replaces the separate Standard/Practice choices and uses one saved submission.
- Set start and end date/time. Review the displayed times and scoring/time-limit fields.
- Set Answer Reveal Time to Specific Date, later than the end.
- Add and review active questions. Choose any permitted access code for your audience.
- Enable Activate Quiz, check plan/capacity and profile visibility, then share the current link and private code where needed.
Useful information
Before and after the window
Learners can see an upcoming countdown before the start. New starts stop after the end. An attempt started before the end may continue, but closing it after the end can prevent restarting. Avoid changing status, questions or scoring while learners are working.
Result and leaderboard
A successful submission is saved. Learner results/answers and leaderboard follow the configured fixed release. Learner ranking can expose names, scores and time to eligible participants. The owner can review saved submissions separately from learner release.
Access still matters
A valid code does not override an expired plan, full saved-learner capacity, a block or an inactive quiz. Individual remains self-use. Use a plan intended for other accounts when hosting a batch.
