How do I set answer and result reveal time?
Choose immediate answers, a delay after submission or a fixed release date.
Set Answer Reveal Time in the quiz form. Standard can use immediate, a duration delay or Specific Date; Live requires Specific Date after its end time.
This controls learner access to submitted results/answers. It is different from the start/end window that controls when a learner can begin.
Set the release rule
- Open your quiz create/edit form in the active Teacher Dashboard.
- For immediate Standard results, choose Show answers immediately after quiz finishes.
- For a delayed Standard result, choose Hour, Minute or Day and enter the number.
- For one shared scheduled release, choose Specific Date and select its date/time. For Live, use this option with a release later than the quiz end.
- Read the displayed confirmation, check schedule consistency and save.
Useful information
Duration example
Hour with 4 means the saved attempt’s answers become available four hours after its finish time. A learner finishing at 10:00 and one finishing at 11:00 therefore have different release times. This is useful for an individual delay, not a shared class release.
Specific Date example
Choose a fixed date/time when the whole group should receive results together. For a Live test ending at 18:00, use a later release such as 18:30 on that date. The form requires release after the end time; Live cannot use immediate or duration-based reveal.
Teacher review and earlier attempts
The quiz owner can review saved Standard/Live submissions from the dashboard while learner release is pending. Each saved attempt records its reveal time on submission, so editing the quiz later is not a guarantee that earlier attempts adopt the new release time. Review the saved attempt if investigating a mismatch.
