How do I analyze learner performance in quiz reports?
Use report filters, unique-learner summaries and difficult-question analysis.
Open your quiz’s Attempts report. Use learner/date/score filters and Most Incorrect Questions or Most Skipped Questions to decide what needs review.
This guide explains the analysis tools. For the route to an individual saved answer review, see learner attempts and results.
Analyze the report
- Open Quizzes → View All Quizzes → Attempts for your quiz.
- Check learner/pass/fail summary cards and the current date/filter scope. The learner summary uses each learner’s latest filtered attempt.
- Use All Attempts for separate submissions, or Unique Learners for learner-wise summaries.
- Use available Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days or Custom Range controls and score bands to narrow the report.
- Open frequently incorrect/skipped sections, then Review relevant attempts to inspect actual question responses.
Useful information
All Attempts versus Unique Learners
One learner with three submissions has three attempt entries but one learner identity. The grouped view can show an attempt count to inspect repeats. Its learner count for this quiz/report is not necessarily the plan’s cycle-wide capacity across all quizzes.
Question analysis
Most Incorrect can show incorrect percentage/count and question rank; Most Skipped highlights unanswered questions recorded as skipped. Counts for correct, incorrect, skipped and not visited help distinguish misunderstanding from omissions. A high incorrect rate is a prompt to inspect wording, teaching and correct answers, not proof of a faulty question.
Search, bands and missing entries
Search by learner name/ID, change entries per page and sort where available. Score bands such as Outstanding, Very Good, Good, Needs Practice or Needs Review are performance groups, separate from the quiz’s passing percentage. Clear filters when expected records seem missing. Practice does not create regular saved reports.
Use results responsibly
Use individual details for educational review and quiz management. Keep private learner identity/performance data confidential; a group summary is not permission to publish each learner’s answers.
