How to upgrade or change your teacher plan?
Learn how teachers can upgrade, downgrade, or change their educator plan based on learner limit and dashboard needs.
Teachers can upgrade or change their teacher plan on Quiz Pathshala based on their quiz management needs and learner limit requirement.
Changing a plan helps teachers get the right dashboard access, learner limit, and plan features.
Why should I change my teacher plan?
You may need to change your teacher plan when:
Your monthly learner limit is full
You need more learners to attempt your quizzes
You want to create quizzes for a larger batch
You want to move to a higher plan
Your current plan does not match your usage
Your teacher plan has expired and you want to activate access again
What is plan upgrade?
Plan upgrade means moving from your current teacher plan to a higher teacher plan.
For example, moving from a smaller learner limit plan to a higher learner limit plan.
Upgrade is useful when you need more learners to access your teacher-created quizzes.
What is plan downgrade?
Plan downgrade means moving from your current teacher plan to a lower teacher plan.
Downgrade is useful when you do not need a higher learner limit anymore.
Downgrade behavior may depend on the platform rules shown during checkout or plan change.
How to upgrade or change a teacher plan
To upgrade or change your teacher plan:
Login to your Quiz Pathshala account
Switch to Teacher role
Open the Teacher Dashboard
Go to My Plans or directly open the Educator Plans page
On My Plans page, check your current active plan
Click Upgrade / Downgrade Plan
You will be redirected to the Educator Plans page
Review the available teacher plans
Select the plan you want
Continue to checkout, if payment or plan change is required
Complete the payment or required confirmation
Check your active plan status after completion
Selecting the same plan
If you select your current active plan again, payment will not be started because that plan is already active.
You should choose a higher plan if you want to upgrade.
You should choose a lower plan if you want to downgrade.
What happens after upgrading?
After a successful upgrade:
Your current plan expires
Your new higher plan becomes active
Your teacher plan changes to the upgraded plan
Your learner limit changes based on the new plan
Your learner limit cycle starts again from the upgrade date
Your Teacher Dashboard remains active
You can continue managing quizzes and questions
More learners can attempt your quizzes based on the new learner limit
If the upgrade payment is successful but plan access is not updated, contact Quiz Pathshala support.
Upgrade payment and unused value
When you upgrade from one paid plan to a higher paid plan, payment is required for the new plan.
If your current plan still has unused days, Quiz Pathshala may calculate the unused value of your current plan and convert it into extra days for the upgraded plan.
How unused value may be calculated
The calculation may work like this:
Remaining days of current plan are checked
Current plan per-day value is calculated
Unused value is calculated based on remaining days
New plan per-day value is calculated
Unused value is converted into extra days on the new plan
Extra days are added to the upgraded plan validity
This helps reduce waste of unused paid plan time.
The exact details will be shown during checkout or plan change.
What happens if learner limit was already full?
If your learner limit was already full and you upgrade to a higher plan, the learner limit cycle will reset from the upgrade date.
This means the monthly learner count starts again from the day you upgrade.
New unique learners can attempt your quizzes based on the upgraded plan limit and quiz access rules.
Learner access still depends on:
Quiz active status
Access code, if required
Quiz schedule
Attempt limit
Blocked learner status
Available learner limit
Platform rules
Choose plan based on learner limit
Before changing your plan, check how many unique learners you want to allow.
Teacher plans are mainly useful based on monthly learner limit.
For example:
A small plan is useful for personal use or very limited learners
A medium plan is useful for small batches
A higher plan is useful for larger batches or coaching use
A large plan is useful when many learners need access
Choose a plan that matches your expected learner count.
What happens to existing quizzes after plan change?
Your existing quizzes are not deleted just because you upgrade or change your plan.
Your saved teacher content can continue to remain available, such as:
Categories
Subcategories
Quizzes
Questions
My Question Bank questions
Quiz settings
Saved attempt records, where available
Access and availability still depend on active plan status, learner limit, quiz settings, and platform rules.
What happens to learner access after upgrade?
After upgrading to a plan with a higher learner limit, more learners can attempt your quizzes based on the new plan limit.
Learner access still depends on:
Quiz active status
Access code, if required
Quiz schedule
Attempt limit
Blocked learner status
Available learner limit
Platform rules
Free trial, AutoPay, and plan activation
Teacher plan activation requires AutoPay setup.
This applies whether you choose a free trial or activate a paid teacher plan directly.
A teacher plan will not be activated without completing the required AutoPay setup.
Trial + AutoPay
If you are eligible for a free trial, you may see a Trial + AutoPay option during checkout.
In this case:
Your trial starts first
AutoPay is set for future payment
Trial duration is shown during checkout
After the trial ends, payment may be charged automatically through AutoPay
AutoPay without trial
If you activate a teacher plan without using a trial, AutoPay is still required for plan activation.
After successful setup and payment, the selected teacher plan becomes active based on the plan duration.
Cancelling AutoPay
You can cancel AutoPay later if the option is available.
Cancelling AutoPay does not immediately cancel your active teacher plan.
Your active plan will continue until its current validity period ends.
After the plan expires, automatic payment will not happen if AutoPay has been cancelled.
In that case, the Teacher Dashboard may become inactive or locked until a valid teacher plan is activated again.
What should I check before changing plan?
Before changing your teacher plan, check:
Current active plan
Current learner limit
Number of learners expected
Quiz access needs
Plan price
Plan duration
Payment method
AutoPay setup requirement
Trial details, if available
Whether the plan fits your teaching use
What should I check after changing plan?
After changing your plan, check:
Active plan name
Plan validity
Extra days, if added
Learner limit
Learner limit reset status
Dashboard access
Educator profile visibility
Payment status
AutoPay status
What if plan change fails?
If plan change fails or payment is deducted but plan is not updated, contact Quiz Pathshala support.
Share details such as:
Registered email address
Old plan name
New plan name
Payment ID or order ID
Date and time of payment
Screenshot, if available
Important note
Teacher plan change affects Teacher Dashboard access and monthly learner limit.
Choose a plan based on the number of unique learners you want to allow during the plan cycle.
If you upgrade to a higher plan, your learner limit cycle starts again from the upgrade date.
If unused paid time is available on your current plan, it may be converted into extra days on the upgraded plan as shown during checkout.
After changing a plan, review your dashboard, learner limit, quiz access code, schedule, active quiz settings, plan validity, and AutoPay status before sharing quizzes with learners.
Teacher plan activation requires AutoPay setup. Cancelling AutoPay later does not immediately cancel the active plan, but automatic renewal or future payment may stop after the current plan validity ends.
