How do I upgrade or downgrade my educator plan?
Choose a new plan and check when the change becomes effective.
Upgrades activate after successful verification. Downgrades are scheduled for the effective date shown, normally the next billing cycle.
Choose the capacity you need, then review price, cycle and timing. Selecting the already-active plan is not an upgrade and should not initiate another purchase of that same active plan.
Change your plan
- Sign in as Teacher and open My Plans. Choose Change Plan or open Educator Plans.
- Select a different plan and review learner limit, price, cycle and effective date.
- For upgrades, review amount due and any unused paid value converted into extra days. For downgrades, review the scheduled start.
- Complete the payment/AutoPay setup required at checkout.
- Reopen My Plans and confirm the active plan or scheduled downgrade.
If payment succeeds but the change is missing, send support old/new plan names and the payment/order reference.

Unused paid value on upgrade
Eligible remaining paid value can be converted into extra days on the higher plan. Different per-day prices need not yield equal extra days. Use the actual checkout calculation rather than assuming a cash refund or day-for-day carryover.
Upgrade versus scheduled downgrade
A verified upgrade replaces the active plan and starts a new learner-limit cycle. A downgrade retains the current limit until its scheduled effective date. Check the active card and scheduled-change notice before promising new capacity to learners.
Plan changes do not delete content simply by changing the plan. Check new validity, learner limit, AutoPay and renewal amount after completion.
How unused value becomes extra days
The calculation checks remaining paid days and the old plan’s per-day value, then divides the unused value by the new plan’s per-day value to work out extra validity. Checkout determines eligible amounts and rounding. The displayed result matters more than assuming the same number of days transfers.
