What happens to an inactive teacher workspace?
Understand stored content after expiry and the one-year inactive-data cleanup rule.
Plan expiry does not immediately delete teacher content. After one year of inactive educator access, inactive workspace data may be eligible for deletion under platform policy.
Stored data and usable dashboard access are different. Content can remain stored while tools/reports and learner quiz access are locked.
Before relying on old content
- Check My Plans and any inactive-workspace message or warning shown.
- If you want to keep using the workspace, activate valid educator access rather than leaving it inactive indefinitely.
- After reactivation, inspect categories, quizzes, questions, My Question Bank and available past records.
- Before sharing again, check profile visibility, quiz status/modes, schedules, codes, blocked learners and current learner capacity.
Useful information
What data is affected?
The inactive workspace policy covers teacher categories/subcategories, quizzes, quiz questions, private-bank questions and related workspace records. It does not mean the user account itself is automatically deleted. Saved records should not be assumed recoverable forever.
Reminders and recovery
Available contact channels may be used for reminders or warnings under the policy, but do not rely on receiving one as a reason to ignore inactivity. Reactivating restores only data still available; it cannot guarantee recovery after cleanup.
Separate learner access
Teacher inactivity does not itself cancel separate learner category purchases. Those purchases retain their own validity and access rules.
